We build boats in several styles. The following are examples of boats that we build. The third boat of 2008 was a first for Grey Barn Boatworks since it does not have a single piece of teak trim! The owners wanted a capable, maintenance-free boat that they can use as their own ferry service to North Haven from Rockland, Maine. FOX ISLANDER II is equipped with radar and a ten-inch Garmin plotter. She also has a built-in twelve-volt cooler that has ample room for a long day on the water. Seeing that her maiden voyage was to South West Harbor, I feel this boat will see extensive use wherever her owners moor her throughout the year. The second build of 2008 was delivered to York Harbor, Maine, and is named ANNIE JONES. This boat was built with a very low profile so the owners can enjoy daylong adventures up the York River and into its estuaries. The owners also consider ANNIE JONES the perfect boat to take family and friends to the Isle of Shoals for a picnic. This boat is fitted with many of our teak options, which make her very handsome.
The latest delivery from Grey Barn Boatworks will serve as a yacht club tender for the New York Athletic Club at Travers Island. It's powered with a Yanmar 55hp diesel inboard, wrap around bow seating, a bench seat across the transom, and boarding ladders on both sides to accommodate loading at NYAC’s unique mooring system.
